CEO Walk In My Shoes

CEO Walk In My Shoes – An Immersive Overnight Experience for Leaders and Change Makers from across the Central West region

14-15 May 2026, Orange NSW

Ronald McDonald House is a tangible, professional and proactive organisation and one of the most respected children’s charities in Australia. Our Chapter is reliant on the wider community, businesses and corporations to fund and support our programs.

The programs provided by Ronald McDonald House Central West NSW have a direct impact on how we serve more families better in the region.

The ‘CEO Walk In My Shoes’ event helps us connect with change makers in our communities who often go on to become vital ambassadors for Ronald McDonald House Central West.

In May 2026 we were so privileged to have an incredible team of business leaders join us over two days for our annual ‘CEO Walk In My Shoes’ immersive experience.

Emily Mann, Catherine Crane, Ami Zielinski and Brooke Foley joined us from our Orange community alongside Harrison Terry from Forbes and Andrew Thomas from Parkes to help us raise awareness about what we do and also workshop barriers that we face.

Collectively our fabulous CEO participants raised an incredible $34,908 in vital fundraising for Ronald McDonald House Central West NSW which equates to 183 nights of accommodation for our families – an amazing achievement!

We are so grateful to everyone for the precious time that they gave to immerse themselves in the experience and learn what it might be like to ‘Walk in the Shoes’ of the families that stay with us.

Thank you also to the Laken, Kristy and Sawyer for joining us via live stream, and also Andrew and Natasje who attended dinner at the House to share their lived experience with our CEO’s. We are so thankful also to the families who were staying in the House over the two days and generously spoke with the team about what they were going through and how Ronald McDonald House Central West was making an impact for them during their stay.

The experience was made possible by our kind sponsors – we are incredibly grateful for their assistance and expertise:

  • Dean and the team at Orange Helicopters for providing a unique and immersive ‘medivac’ experience – watch the highlight reel below by Studio Door to see behind the scenes at Orange Helicopters and the CEO Experience.
  • The Remington for accommodating our CEO participants
  • Clint and the team at Country Fruit Distributors for providing incredible produce for our CEO’s to cook with
  • Studio Door Creative for joining us throughout the 24 hours to capture the experience

What to expect during this immersive experience
