Safeguarding Children and Young People

Our mission is to provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare.

We keep children and young people safe in our spaces and do not tolerate any kind of abuse.

At Ronald McDonald House, the safety and wellbeing of children and young people is at the heart of everything we do. Our commitment to SCYP reflects our core values and responsibility to create environments where every child feels protected, respected, and supported.

We actively embed safeguarding principles into our Programs and culture, ensuring that staff, volunteers, and partners understand their role in keeping children safe.

Children’s Rights

We believe every child has the right to be safe, cared for, and heard. Our approach aligns with the principles outlined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, which sets out the fundamental rights that all children are entitled to, including protection from harm and the right to participate in decisions that affect them.

Policies and Resources

These policies and resources guide our practices and reinforce our dedication to child safety.
